Pere Marquette 21 Ludington Michigan Car Ferry Postcard 505

A very nice real photo postcard with a scene of the Pere Marquette Ludington taking off into Lake Michigan. There are quite a few people that can be seen on the ferry, also cars. This was known as a car ferry and they played a significant role in the development of the Railroad Ferry Service. On the back of the ship reads, PERE MARQUETTE 21 LUDINGTON. The small print on the front of the card reads, PERE MARQUETTE 21 LUDINGTON MICH R. 709
